About Me

Voteshiozawa: Here are some ideas that are important to me. Some background: I am married to a beautiful, wonderful spouse, Joye. We have four great children who are mostly grown up and embarking on new out of the home lives, careers and studies. We are long time residents of Cottonwood Heights. I went to college at Stanford University, did medical school at the University of Washington and residency at the University of Utah. I have been working full time, for over twenty years, at St Marks Hospital Emergency Department in Salt Lake City, Utah. Currently, I am the President of the Utah Medical Association, which represents over 3000 physicians in the State of Utah. I am deeply interested in health care policy. I am also concerned about public education, taxes, employment and government fiscal responsibility. I am guided by my faith, my family and love for this great country. I am the Republican candidate for the State Senate in District 8. This is a large exciting area which encompasses Cottonwood Heights, Midvale and Murray, Utah. I look forward to getting to know you, as we go forward with this campaign to the Election this Fall.
